It is 23 X £420.00.

Mind sharing who is the independent lease purchase agreement provided by that you have gone with?
I've sent you a PM/Email which ever it was via clicking on your profile!

Yet to purchase, still weighing up my options.

Test driving a 340i next Saturday hopefully. Looking to start a family within the next two years and hope I won't look back and regret buying a 4 series!

Any one on here have a 4 series with kids?

i'm collecting my 435i GC this weekend. 2 kids....2 car seats so i'll let you know. i'm buying this car for the wife...though i'll probably be driving it most of time as she seems to prefer ferrying the kids around in the X5 so i end up in the current car she has, a 1-series, as my daily driver. i know i know what a hero dad giving up his car for the family "halo" ....or another way of looking at it i'm tired of the "i can't get the kids, shopping and push chair in this 1-series next time leave your car" phone calls whilst i'm out and about working smile

we have the kids seats in the 1-series and they go in fine so i figure...if they fit in that fine and kids are fine the 435i GC should be better all round and certainly better for me to use smile

Ah, the GC has 5 doors though. My main concern was buying a 4 Coupe and getting a child in and out of the child seat etc with only the 3 doors!

Get some pics of the GC up when you pick it up! They do look great!

Thanks Dave. I've received it.

Also, just realised, your rates that you posted when comparing to mine are based on 8k miles per year.

I did it when I had my E92 M3 and it obviously takes a little more effort but its perfectly do able, and to my eyes anyway a 2 door car always looks better than a 4 door car.

I need more of these sort of comments to reassure me i'm not being stupidly short sighted and just picking the more aesthetically pleasing one lol!

I have often found that when you have a car seat still, as in baby seat you take in and out, the coupe can be easier. Big wide doors and a seat that slides forward can be a lot less awkward than trying to get it in a saloon with small rear doors.

Two doors are a pain the ass. Letting passengers in and out, fitting baby seats. But I've found some people have the tolerance. After my two door hatchback I vowed never to do this again for a family car. Equally got friends who have two doors and picking up friends to go cinema or whatever is a nuisance.

Coupe does look nicer and a bit lower, but not by much. The doors are really long so opening them in supermarket car parks is a problem. You need more clearance.

Knowing that now, would you say my deal for 20k miles is ok? I think it is. Just need someone to tell me if its a blindly good deal, average, or if I'm getting ripped off! First time PCP'er here.

I was going to buy a 4 series but ended up getting a 340i M Sport Touring as it had better support from the manufacturer and I got a much better deal. I have had it a week, it now has 500 miles on it and its excellent, the exhaust note is good and it will fly once its run in. Looking forward to trying the launch control too.

A little off topic but anyone ever done a PCP through Network / LeasePlan?

I've read through the contracts sent by the broker, anything I should look out for? Anything you would have done differently?

I've never looked into higher mileage deals personally so don't know the ins and outs on the deals. Doesn't seem unreasonable tho mate!

Quick question guys, so I've pulled the trigger on the below, do I need GAP Insurance? If I do, is it Back To Invoice or Vehicle Replacement I need? Reading the section on GAP Insurance on PH, it looks like I would need Vehicle Replacement.

When I was speaking to GB Vehicle Leasing about requesting a settlement figure at any stage at all in my contract, he advised that because the vehicle I am buying from them has a very large discount from day one, and the fact I am paying £5,000 as my first initial payment I will be well ahead of any depreciation so if I ever do need to change my car they seriously doubt I will ever need to pay money to close the agreement. So this makes me think I don't need it, not sure.

PCP - 2 Years (with independent lease company)
430d Gran Coupe M Sport
Options: Sun Protection Glass + Electric Sunroof
Deposit: £5,000.00
Monthly: £419.98
20,000 miles per year
GFV: £20,234.00
APR 8.34%
New - retail value £42,065

Would you want the invoice price back if it was a total loss, or would you want another car the same again?
That is your choice.

If the huge discounts go when you want to replace that may be a better option.

To clarify, you're saying in that situation Vehicle Replacement Plus may be a better option?

Yeah.
What discount did you get?

Around £7-8k I guess?

Well if it is nicked RTI would give you invoice price back, which is fine if you want another and they still have £7k discount, if they don't have that sort of discount though you are buggered.

Negative with getting the same car is you may be 20 months in and itching for a change, so simply getting your original amount paid would be enough.
