Which 4 Series Should I Go For?
Discussion
Is this a good deal?
PCP - 2 Years (with independent lease company)
430d Gran Coupe M Sport
Options: Sun Protection Glass + Electric Sunroof
Deposit: £5,000.00
Monthly: £419.98
20,000 miles per year
GFV: £20,234.00
APR 8.34%
New - retail value £42,065
I should add, at the end of the 2 years I plan to hand it back in and take out another vehicle with them, if there is positive equity. If there is negative equity, I will simply hand it back, doubt I'll have £20k lying around!!

Hmm. Assuming that's 23 x £420 + £5k = £14.7k for 2 years.
Comparing that to the deal I posted which was for a 440i with a fair few of the packages (Msport Plus, Comfort, Parking + Folding Mirrors)
Mine worked out at 35 x £330 + £10k = £21.6k (Equiv to £14.4k for 2 years, granted the 3rd years is in a 2 year old car however).
Fairly similar, although the list of the 440i with options was £47.5k

Mind sharing who is the independent lease purchase agreement provided by that you have gone with?

I've sent you a PM/Email which ever it was via clicking on your profile!
Yet to purchase, still weighing up my options.
Test driving a 340i next Saturday hopefully. Looking to start a family within the next two years and hope I won't look back and regret buying a 4 series!
Any one on here have a 4 series with kids?
Thanks Dave. I've received it.Yet to purchase, still weighing up my options.

Also, just realised, your rates that you posted when comparing to mine are based on 8k miles per year.

Quick question guys, so I've pulled the trigger on the below, do I need GAP Insurance? If I do, is it Back To Invoice or Vehicle Replacement I need? Reading the section on GAP Insurance on PH, it looks like I would need Vehicle Replacement.
When I was speaking to GB Vehicle Leasing about requesting a settlement figure at any stage at all in my contract, he advised that because the vehicle I am buying from them has a very large discount from day one, and the fact I am paying £5,000 as my first initial payment I will be well ahead of any depreciation so if I ever do need to change my car they seriously doubt I will ever need to pay money to close the agreement. So this makes me think I don't need it, not sure.

Yeah, it was about that.
Thanks, that really helps.
I get what you're saying and you're right that's a negative when you look at it that way but I've been looking forward to this car for a long time now and am pretty sure my next car after this will be another 4 Series. Just so I'm clear though, if that did happen 20 months in, the agreement with GB Vehicle Leasing wouldn't renew right? I mean I'd get a replacement vehicle and 4 months later would have the same options at the end of term I would have done as if nothing happened to the original car.

I'm not sure what you mean but, at any stage, I can pay the remaining amount of money borrowed and that would be that, agreement would terminate.
I also have the option, at any point during the agreement, to ask them for a settlement figure, they will source a buyer for the vehicle and tell me what the figure is, for the reasons outlined above, it is highly unlikely I'd have to stump up any additional money at that point, there's even the possibility they would give me some money. In either case, I'd just hand the car back and walk away.

My 430d GC has arrived early! I'm stuck with work so have requested home delivery for Thursday. Can't wait!
Anything I should look out for besides odometer, perfect body work, extra keys, mats?
Interested to know this too as mine arrives next Thursday! Anything I should look out for besides odometer, perfect body work, extra keys, mats?
Personally, I can't think of anything else besides what you've mentioned.
