My mistake guys, I misread. Although I still am unconvinced by 2 services in 5 years to be totally honest.

What were the intervals before the service packs were introduced?

I think cars have been 20k for a few years. Porsche changed to 20k or 2 years in 2004/5.

I ignore mine, it has a service pack (5 years or 50k not the 60k one), but under the service pack:

One Small Service (Oil, Filter and Microfilters)
One Large Service (Oil, Filter, Microfilter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter)
Brake Fluid Change

It however has also had one interim service between the small and large of just an oil and oil filter at the 10k interval, which was then changed 8,500 miles later. I paid for this, and simply requested them not to update the car...my dealer had no problem with it, some do however.

Be aware as well if you are keeping the cars that when get to the second brake fluid change at 5 years old then you may also get charged to change the bonnet struts as this should technically form part of the service at that age if they active pedestrian protection (bonnet pop up feature):

"Service - brake fluid
Change brake fluid
Reset CBS display according to factory specification
For vehicles with Active Passenger Protection only (SA8TF):

Check expiry date on gas pressure spring of engine compartment lid. Expiry must last until the next brake fluid service!

Replace gas pressure spring, if necessary. The replacement is subject to a separate charge.

For vehicles with electronic service history:

Record maintenance work in the electronic service history."

There’s a thread for everything on here so no point making another one.

Are these packs still worth it?
Or does it depend on mileage? Like if you are driving more than 15k miles then it pays off?

I had a BMW one years ago and it covered brake discs at the time but note the current ones no longer do.
