Just configured the 330i and the 340i M-Sport Touring and the 330i with media prof, grey wheels, heated leather, adaptive m-sport suspenison and adpative led headlights is £32400 and the 340i with the same spec is £33600.
That is why the 340i wins, residuals from Lombard were £19k on the 340i after 48 months, compared with £12k for the 320d, makes it a very cheap car to own with the £11,000 discount on new.

Maybe I mis read the OP's post I thought he was comparing a 425/430 auto then someone mentioned a 435i which I thought only came in auto form.
I can totally recommend the Alpina they're fantastic both in quality & performance, I agree if the OP want's a manual then he should be looking for a Petrol.
