Hello. I need a sanity check on this.

184hp motor, smooth running controller fault on cylinder 2 and smokey.

EGR replaced with new
MAF replaced with new
All filters new
All injectors identified as dodgy by INPA and Autologic replaced with reconditioned ones.
Vacuum pipes seated in correct places
Compression tests (wet and dry) all good.
Leak down test all good.
Injector leak-off test all good
Injector harness replaced.
Glow plug controller replaced.
Injectors swapped around between cylinders, still #2 having issue.
Inlet manifold is good, all gaskets in place.

Problem still exists.

Latest thought is the inlet valves aren't opening or opening far enough and the cam lobe or rockers etc are the problem. I'm considering replacing the whole motor but before I do is there anything obvious that has been missed and how likely is a cam/spring/valve issue if the compression etc tests are good?

Is a dodgy ECU/DDE likely and how would I test this?

Appreciate any advice.

Turns out that there wasn't any compression on cylinder 2 after all, the first specialist can't have performed correctly. It took a 2nd specialist to diagnose it, and add another few hundred quid as a final kick in the nuts.
