Remapped e92 BMW 330d, high mileage!!

Hi guys
I'm looking to buy a 300d and remap. I've recently seen one for sale that is already remapped (to 280bhp) but has 165k on the clock! I already think this is high mileage and I don't yet know where it was mapped. My concerns:
a) I don't know who and when it was remapped but I will find this out. Question on whether it is a reputable place or not.
b) Any pitfalls to look out for with even a standard 330d with such high mileage and then one that has been remapped? (before I call)

Ps. recently sold a very bespoke e92 M3 (previously had e46 M3) which I was sad to lose, so after something with some grunt at least for cheaper.
