That looks like carbon blowback. The injectors aren't sealing very well against the combustion chamber. Injectors will need removing and then clean the bore and stick some new copper seals in. Cost less than £10 for the parts
As above, diesel leak probably from the injectors, seals are cheap, labour will not be as all that carbon needs properly cleaning up before anyone even thinks about removing the injectors.
