Best colour for 1M

Which do you prefer from the three choices?
1. White
2. Orange
3 Black
If there was a choice of a lower kms car, maybe 10K or more less, over the colour that is not top of your list which would you choose given
similar price points?

I would say the only colour to consider is Valencia Orange.
Far less cars in this colour and will help retain the cars value and desirability.
Also black and white make up about 50% of all bmws on the road, and in my opinion just bland.

I do like orange it looks good, but I think the car looks best in white...

Had both VO and AW 1MC's. Valencia generally not well received by the general public : Tailgating, not let out of side roads, waaaay too many boyracers looking to goad you into races, and more coffee beans gestures than in ANY other car I've driven (including a plethora of Porsche GT cars) No similar issues (at all) with the AW car I owned.
Personally I think the 1M's shape and stance say everything it needs to say, the lairy colour is overkill.
Valencia looks passe and hasn't dated particularly well imo.
Granted Valencia may be the signature colour, but with less than 450 cars in the UK, I'm doubtful the colours will massively impact future values.
Despite being 12 months old and having 16k miles on it when I bought it, the Valencia car was bit of dog. The Alpine White car was 2 months younger, had no nav, 8k miles but was an absolutely stunning example that had clearly not been abused, but had been pampered too.
Used in all weathers :
With my much missed CSL in Wales :
Few mods :
N55 Mid pipe (removes secondary cats) N55 on left.
Original naff cheap looking chrome rolled edge tailpipe trims binned and replaced with black chrome slash cut items :
Seats binned (the best mod, as just like the 2M, the standard seats are hopeless and in the case of the 1M mounted too high) and replaced with fixed (no access to rear seats) motorsport Sparcos (I became a drift god overnight)
Steering wheel binned and replaced with an alcantara covered version.
Front brakes binned and replaced with E90 AP 6 pots and 368mm discs/Pagid RS 29's :
The standard sliding caliper front brakes were "OK", but a good beasting on the road would see them getting noisy, pedal travel increasing and ultimately uneven pad transfer would shave the steering wheel shaking in your hands as if the discs had warped.
The AP's were quite simply shocking in their power, and their reduced unsprung weight. Stop after stop from over 100mph and they'd haul the car up without protest. The reduced unsprung weight transformed the ride, previously the car thumped heavily over cats eyes, with the AP's fitted, it glided over them.
The steering became lighter, the turn in waaay more crisp, mid-corner bumps no longer unsettles the front end of the car.
The final part of the jigsaw was a tweaked geometry set up by Matt at Fearnsport.
Great cars. Much tweaked M240i next ....
Oh and a few pictures of the unloved VO example :

Other Monte stage :

Not sure if anyone else was there when a few 1Ms got together?

I was there that day......not in a 1M though (or my 135i) as I was out on the Harley, and stopped by for a look and a chat, as I knew a few of the 1M owners via BabyBMW/1Addicts.[URL=http://s109.photobucket.com/user/ststeve_01/media/IMAG0497.jpg.html]

Indeed, but it must have been a bad day for VO owners at the annual "Valentia Orange is much more exclusive than the white and black iterations Show 'N Shine" at The Ace Cafe last year ...Also black and white make up about 50% of all bmws on the road, and in my opinion just bland.

Or could it be the average VO owner is more into polishing than ...
