I think it does depend on the exterior colour and works best with black, white & grey but I've seen a good few Estoril Blue with Coral Red and that doesn't look too bad either.
So basically you're saying it goes well with any current colour in the BMW palette hehe

I did think that as I wrote it....!

But wouldn't recommend it with Valencia Orange

I'm currently looking at a mineral grey 2015 125d with red dakota leather. I actually really like the way that it sets off the grey from the outside but can't decide if it's just too much inside and perhaps a bit tacky.

I'm curious to see what other PHers think?
Excellent colour combo, go for it.

I've got Coral Red in my 135i - best interior colour by far smile

Or a passenger bled out on the seats.

Looks good in the front as broken up by centre console but back seats in CR in a 3/4 look horrific as too much red.

I like red leather with anything silver or grey - it gives the car some colour!

I was recently looking for a Z4C and only considered silver ones if they had red leather - but I ended up with Montego Blue and Pearl Grey leather!? Totally different, but very pleased with it - I like a bit of contrast!

Not sure why so many people seem to think black with black is the perfect combination - mind you that only seems to be the case when that is the colour combination they are trying to sell!laugh

I would never buy a car with a Coral Red interior. But it's all a question of taste.

Had it on 4 cars. Love it.
If you want to be a boring fart then get black

I've got mineral grey with coral red.

I think it looks great. I have never previously gone for anything other than black leather but I'm glad I went for the red.

New X5 is a possibility for me soon, and lack of colours for both outside and inside is an issue for me too. Quite why BMW feel the need to have different choices between X5 and X6 when they are made in the same plant and are to all intents and purposes the same car with a different roof line....
X6 has red as a interior option (and exterior) but not X5.

If I do go for the X5 I'll be splashing out on Individual interior and going Amaro Brown Merino which is close to old fashioned London Tan in shade.

Red interior is quite jazzy imo, which makes it the perfect accompaniment to a more Teutonic or staid exterior colour.

Love my Stratus and Chateau combo. smile

Currently I've got a Silverstone II M5 with Sakhir (read that as red) interior and really like it.

I'd like a grey with red X5 but as you suggest it's not possible frown

Shame, with the amount of money I'm spending I have no choice but to go black.

Grey with red looks nice. Again, it's a combination that you can have with the X5M, my dealer has a nearly new X5M for sale which is Donnington Grey with Red Merino, and it looks fab.

If you're spending 'good' money, is not Individual an option for you rather than just going black...?

I had to draw the line somewhere and to be honest I'd rather have options like LED lights rather than the interior.

Chateau – a burgundy colour– was a great, but Coral Red is quite different. Far too loud for me.

I love the Coral leather.

In fact, to echo some near identical posts, I had it on both of my e9xs:

I quite like Coral. smile Again, best paired with a staid exterior colour imo otherwise it all looks rather garish.
