This is the M Power section, you might get a better response in the BMW general section. I've heard those 335 D's can be mighty quick but it's the Devils fuel lol

Glad you like your car Jim, the 35 diesel is a great engine and worthy of the praise it receives.

I'm moving from an F10 M5 Diesel and I'm looking forward to it (albeit the 50d tri-turbo)

Ignore those who take the piss, they're jealous that's all wink

OP, best you move to the regular BMW forum.

There's some other oil burner fans there.

I can't see a Diesel club meet being much fun to be fair...it's not like you can listen to its tuneful engine and rev it up to enjoy its noise, they are fast granted but a Diesel engine will only ever be a tool to do a job for me.

They offer a good performance/economy mix but does anyone really get excited about a Diesel engine...I've heard the phrase Petrol head but not the phrase Diesel head...maybe one day though because Diesel certainly seems king nowadays.

This really - Diesels yuc, sure they're fast and torquey but they're not talkie (WI excepted)

Maybe a young farmers meet might be your scene where they can talk about different colours too wink

Ooh just noted you're a TVR owner so I take it all back, except the diesel bit obviously wink

Hi Jim,

Not sure you'll get so many interest in oil burning bm's in this section, not that they are not fast but just not officially an M-power car.

Awesome TVR 350 by the way, and very nice colour....must say having the T350 in the garage not sure i could see myself grabbing the keys to the 335D much!

Do like the rear lights of the T350's..

Good investment as well values on the rise, top job driving

Now that petrol engines are going turbo the diesel / petrol debate has changed a lot (as both have similar performance characteristics ) and with piped exhaust noise ,well I could be convinced .
A proper m car needs an LSD thou ..
