So I've got/getting hi viz, breathalyser but what else do I need, manual talks about headlight deflectors, but unlikely I'll be driving in the dark down to Le Mans.

Also the speedo does not show km/h, is there a setting in idrive ?

You've wasted your money on the Breathalysers. If you get stopped they no longer fine you for not having them.

Yes the contract for them was given to a friend of Sarkozy who owned a firm making breathalysers so they aren't needed any more. Think you need spare bulbs too.

The strike action could be an issue - brim the tank at Dover.

Should do 350 (going Portsmouth-Cherbourg) miles to a tank at 70mph.....be bloody boring though, luckily haven't bought a breathalyser yet.

I thought spare bulbs were not required ?

You can change the digital speedo in the middle to Km/h in the idrive settings

Remember hi-viz's have to be INSIDE the passenger compartment, not in the boot.

My E63 had a dash setting for left or right headlamp dip. BMW might have a lever

You do need bulbs, but just pick any box of cheap bulbs from halfords, even if your car is all LED try explaining that to an irate gendarme.

Breathalyser is handy anyway - especially on a boozy weekend...

Assuming an M4's xenons are like those in an M135i then there is no need to adjust them as they have a flat beam.

And assuming your speedo (and HUD) are the same as my M5 it's a simple change of units in the general settings.

Everything suddenly changes to km which including the sat nav is very handy yes

Zenon lights are a change when the engine is off but ignition on - go to 'lights'

Job jobbed yes
