Ordering a 435 - Idrive 5?

The other half is taking the paperwork in today on a bargain 435 convertible with m sport pack. Exciting!

Read that Idrive is being changed to version 5.0 soon.... Can anyone shed any light on when Idrive changes are being rolled out on the 4 series?

Your dealer should be able to provide a date (providing they know) and if it's the same as the X5 I have on order it's week 31 (the beginning commencing 1st August)

However I have read so many differing dates I'm not sure what models are getting what and when!

If it's a factory order it will have the new i drive system, I just about ordered a 440i a couple of weeks ago and was shown the 'secret' 2017 update email.
The dealer told me any car factory ordered from now would be the 2017 model.
