Ll01 oil in 325 e92 when told ll04?
Discussion
Hi I have a 325I n52 powered e92. I understand now that any oil search or question I ask any "formal" garage or online search advises to use ll04 spec oil, but can I use Ll01 these days alright as this is what was originally advised in the owners manual in 2007?
I understand ll04 is designed to protect dpf's etc. And it was easier to use one oil for both, but is this worse for my n52 petrol? I'm quite anal with oil changes so it will be changed every 5k or so and I have some Ll01 tripleqx lying around that would be handy for topups etc. If allowed.
Many thanks
