Thanks amacbrown, you are right the law is on my side but there is no way to enforce the law except for the court system.

I cannot speak with them on the phone as they won't answer me at all. They ignore letters and emails. Trading standards / ombudsman or other dispute resolution services can't help me if the trader won't engage, so only option is court.

But...I am in difficulty proving who the seller is as they left the invoice blank and I do not have a screen shot of the advert either. Monies paid are also on bank statement as a different company. So if I apply to the small claims court am I on an expensive hiding to nothing anyway? It seems that they change the name of the business when the going gets tough so expect them to do the same if they get any application from me.

Glad you got it sorted mate.

I finally have a working car. 6 injectors, 6 plugs, oil and filter, air filter and microfilter later and I am on the road again.

I'm broke now though.... £1900 for the above but at least the car had been given a clean bill of health by BMW and my Mondial warranty kicks in on Saturday so happy days from here on in hopefully. I will still be seeking my money back from Prestige cars of Bristol though... oops...

Thanks for the heads up, I shall take a gander!

Yes it is helpful to add that prestige cars of Bristol are so dangerous and untrustworthy. Really wish everyone could be warned that they were also previously known as Motortrust
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=motortrust+brist...

Such a shame that prestige cars of Bristol really don't care about the safety of their customers either and sell dodgy motors.

I had my car sorted by the BMW dealer in Lincoln. My problem was the injectors that needed replacing and cost just shy of £2k

What year is his car?
