E46 suspension appears to be a minefield! Car is a 330ci SE, so not on the M-Sport suspension. I've seen some almost new Bilstein B8 shocks for sale from a 330ci cabriolet that had the M-Sport suspension and the seller reckons they are listed as fitting any E46 except the M3. I've also read on here that all 330ci came with sport suspension but then some companies list parts for M-Tech and non M-Tech? Any clarity on the situation appreciated smile

B8s will be great on the front. I had them on my 328 and then swopped them onto my 330d.

Thanks, I'm just concerned as to if they will actually fit or not regards Sport/SE spec. I was going to replace with standard shocks and springs but if I can get the Bilsteins for a good price it makes sense, but only if they will fit!

They will fit. They are designed for shorter than standard springs, I use mine with Eibachs.

I would recommend new rear damper top mounts at the same time (Febi Bilstein ones are gen BMW ones), the best ones are these:

they are M3/E46 Conv ones.

Also worth putting on front turret reinforcements plates, from BMW. Maybe worth buying two bolts that secure the front dampers to the hub as they are often rusty.
