You already have a N55, surely that would mean just a change of bodyshape and moving to a auto (it's not as good as a DCT in my humble opinion) ; the M140i on the other hand does bring a whole new engine, I've spent time watching some of the reviews on you tube and all say it's fantastic plus several reviews talk about the suspension being more sorted on the M140.

I'll dig some out for you, tomorrow. What I've found interesting are the views of actual owners, for example one guy talks through the options he chose and the advantages; thought that was more interesting than what a journalist thinks.
Another reviewer has owned a M135i, reviews a M140i , M240i, compares with his M2 , so you get a good breadth of the different iterations.

In this one, the guy talks about why he chose his options, it's the Estoril Blue M140i

This is the M135i/ M3 Owner who, in this video, tries a M140i and compares, with M135i; in another vid on the channel there's a M240i/M2 comparison. He's not a journo, but I feel there's a depth of opinion across the N55/B58 range.

https://youtu.be/6DKQyntSHHI

And a bit out of the left field, as it's not UK, but I found this journo gave a good insight.

Finally, it's not 140, but this video does showcase the B58 in the 340i in this instance. I drove a M135i in 2013 back to back with a E92 M3 and felt it lacking, what is described as good about this B58, plus other comments in the M140 videos about better suspension should close the gap

Agreed , looks stunning. Think it's a colour that changes dependant on light, in which case prefer when it's darker like photo smile
Black interiors go well with red, but 1er I drove with black interior, the other day, was very dark cos it has privacy glass.

The one I drove was black with red leather. Certainly don't want black car

I'm trying to find an M140i in 5 door with auto and just can't get hold of any at the moment - anyone got any contacts with one in stock, looking to deal immediately as the numbers are good at the moment.

Help please

If it's just the numbers you're concerned about as opposed an absolute need to get something immediately, the current deals will be around until the end of December at least (for delivery right into March) and you'll get just as much if not more off a factory order.

I don't see any delays if dealing through the online car brokers .
Elsewhere on this thread a dealer in Kent has been mentioned that may be worth a call

Hi All,

I purchased an M140 a few months ago and was interested in the M-Performance exhaust...
Dealer give me the attached document and stated that the exhaust would be available in the New Year.

£865 for the silencer and then c.£250 for each chrome tail piece (each!) or c£400 each for the carbon tail piece.
Plus fitting...

All feels a bit too expensive for noise only unless the current chrome tail pieces fit...
And of course if the noise is worthwhile in sport mode and not deafening at motorway speeds (the dealer said they fit an M Performance unit to an M4 and it was so loud he wondered if it was road legal... he didn't know if it was in sport or normal when it was being revved).

Anyway, I'm sure somebody will get one soon... please share your experiences when you do.
Thanks!
