The advert must have expired because there's 3 manual F10s and none are 535is or Tourings.
Ah yes, I spotted that it is listed as an E60 when I took a look at the advert last night. I couldn't figure out how to change it on my phone though. Will have another go now I'm on my computer.

For ease, here's the advert: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...

Been on the lookout for a manual e46 330i Touring Sport for what feels like forever. A rare and popular (with cognoscenti!) spec, of those that appear most are leggy and tired. Would pay decent money for a good one as I feel it would be keeper. Gave up looking for e39s as so few are manual.

Bidding war!!

I also agree, great car and a lot of car for the money. Frankly I'll be kicking myself when I see it driving off with a new owner, and I won't be replacing it with anything comparable unfortunately.

That bit made me chuckle too.

Would you class 143k miles as leggy? its the rarer 6 speed manual and im only looking to sell to upgrade to an F31. Dark blue with grey leather interior. Will add pictures tomorrow when its light...

Me three. I know I shouldn't judge it but despite the rarity I think lack of pro nav would be a deal breaker for me.

Other than that love the cinnamon too and can't believe how cheap it is. Must be one of the cheapest F11s around.

I don;t think it will be on the market long. An attractive car at a sensible price.

ears

143k a bit more than I was hoping for, but all depends on overall condition and what works been done, etc. Would rather a higher miles car that's been looked after than a sub-100k on tired suspension and frilly arches if that makes sense!!

I was in exactly the same position after our last e36 328i sport touring (manual) was written off. Ended up buying a temporary Octy vRS replacement whilst I hunted on and off for around 3 years for a decent manual e46 Touring - eventually found one with the right spec, 87k miles, FSH and £9k of supporting invoices. Have owned it now for around 18 months and would say it was worth the wait. Have rpelaced the cooling system and plan to do all of the suspension/bushes next. Have no plans to sell!

I'm in.

E91, 330i M Sport with the N52 lump. 183k miles at present, had it about 3 months at the moment - ownership has been a bit rocky so far! Did pass it's MOT last week with no advisories mind you...

She'll be a keeper providing I can drive it in a straight line.

(p.s. spot the horrific tow in on the rear!)

Is this thread gonna run like the E61 V8 Bearding thread?

That's awesome, a manual e81 330i. I have driven a Z4 3.0si with the n52 and was very impressed with. Sounds awesome too!

The Scorpion exhaust enhances that further without being anti-social or droney :-).

Just need to get a few bits sorted to enjoy it properly!

I had a E91 325i but sold it recently due to having 2 nippers in childcare. I'm still in mourning. Simply the best all rounder I've had. I'll be back!

That looks really tidy for the miles. I especially like how silver the front brake disc hubs are ! 3 points for that.

ps. this is like the v8 e61 bearding thread but manual gear box is the dress code wink

In which case, I present to you a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 2's destroyed in 718 miles (I'm sad and keep a spreadsheet of when I do maintenance, swap wheels/tyres, MOTs etc. - so know the mileage):

I think I've worked out why now and I'm rebuilding the whole rear axle apart from springs and dampers (which are Birds B3) with OEM parts. (Full story here if you want to find out the back story, but shan't clutter this thread with it). That was last weekend.
I did however discover that I'm quite capable of driving on icy roads on fooked tyres and suspension though - DTC mode FTW!

Otherwise she's been alright, treated her to new gearbox and diff oil a couple of weeks ago.

Also as you can see have some rear subframe bushings waiting to go in too as I did think that was the reason for the odd handling previously.

CEL also came on about 2 weeks after I got her - code had been stored on the car for over 40k miles! I pulled out the vanos actuators and the vanos filters (one of those was a bit grimy), cleaned them up, refitted them and the code actually turned itself off.

Only other things are I took the CDV straight out - that thing ruins being able to use the clutch properly - seriously WTF! And adjusted the handbrake so it went from completely useless to just a bit crap!

Oh yes, the pilot sports in 255 flavour are a bit too spendy for me at the present time given I need to get my "backup car" taxed and MOT'd whilst this one is off the road, so some Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta have been ordered.

Looking forward to being able to actually drive her properly!
