and folding electric mirrors via the small push button. Several have said elsewhere this can fold via the keyfob on lock - but it doesn't.
They won't do that by default, it 'may' be something that can be coded by BMW to do though, not sure on the newer F-series.It couldn't be coded on the older E-series coupes though, it was press button only.
If you're not sure what options you have on your car try putting the last 7 characters of your VIN number in here:
https://www.bmwdecoder.com/
Should give you a full breakdown of all the options when the car left the factory.

Ken, a lot of dealers have a BWM Genius on site who should be able to answer all your questions.
My old M135 used to leave the wipers and radio on and I found if you press the engine start button again once the engine was off everything would shut down (that was on a manual gear box version).
We bought it miles away from our local dealer mate and based on the huge big throaty lump and RWD! () My old M135 used to leave the wipers and radio on and I found if you press the engine start button again once the engine was off everything would shut down (that was on a manual gear box version).

Didn't spec car personally - this is where the knowledge gap sets in I guess! It has 'driver comfort package' and folding electric mirrors via the small push button. Several have said elsewhere this can fold via the keyfob on lock - but it doesn't.
If your car has folding mirrors with the little button by the adjuster left right switch, then when you lock the car using the remote if you keep the remote pressed after the car has locked the mirrors will retract. They do not retract immediately like a Mercedes I have an M140i - and don't find it too complex at all. If I want to change down several gears, I simply move my gear-lever into the correct gear. If I want to lock the doors I press a button on the remote. And it I want to fold the mirrors, I reach out and fold them. Doesn't sound complex to me!

It's incredible just how much ''stuff'' cars have to have nowadays. Imagine if you had to put an actual key into the door lock!
What the Hell sort of crazy talk is that! You'll be talking about having to wind down your windows by hand next, by using a little winder handle, or having to close your boot lid by actually touching the lid and pulling it down - Manually!
On another motoring site I frequent, the owner of a Ferrari asked if it was possible to retro-fit an electrical rear view mirror with memory function, as he felt it took too much effort, and too much time to adjust the mirror by hand! (NOTE: Not the door mirrors - The rear view mirror in the centre of the windscreen!)
When I said it takes all of 5 seconds to adjust a rear view mirror, his reply was: "Yeah but that's 5 seconds I could be spending doing something more important!".
What is the World coming to when adjusting a rear view mirror is too much effort!

Doesn't work! My next car will have a distributor cap and points

My wife's Fiat 500, which I'm driving through the winter as she has my E87, only came with one remote key and a "pleb key", she got the remote key, so I still have to put a key in the lock e21Mark said:

They should do an R spec M240i that does away with all that "stuff". That would be fun. They could fit the motor and suspension from the M2 and take out every electronic nanny to reduce the price. Or would the accountants then put a £90k sticker and a CSL badge on it instead?
