Spec I went for was:

Heated front seats
Adaptive M Sports suspension
BMW advanced loudspeaker system
Metallic - Black sapphire
Dakota leather - Black
High gloss black interior trim with oxide silver finish
Media pack - Professional - 2 Series/M2
Smokers pack - 2 Series
Driver comfort pack - 2 Series M235i/M240i

List came in just under 40k, so not overly extensive but not really light on options either...

I really want one now, especially after the test drive, I just want to get the best deal.

In that case I don't think your discount is far off what I've just accepted on the convertible, which I was quite pleased with.

I do think there was a little more wiggle room but I needed the March build slot of which there aren't that many around. Give it a final push and you might get under £380pm.

Might be tricky to directly compare given you want 12k a year miles and £3k deposit, but Tony (TRL) gives some of the best deals available

Under £380 p/m would be excellent. I'm going to give TRL a ring and see what they can do. It's getting to the stage where I'm going to have to make a decision and just bite the bullet! I just feel like there's sometimes tricks that get the monthly down that I'm simply unaware of. How do you guys feel about deliberately speccing less miles? Will it come back to bite me?

Assuming you've a nailed down spec and are pretty much ready to order I'd drop Tony an email if I were you (TRLdeals@outlook.com), he's their sales manager rather than a showroom salesman so you might not get hold of him very quickly by calling Berry direct.

I've not done the PCP route so not sure but I don't think there's any trick to it really, the GFV is (I think) set by BMW finance so if you get a good discount on the sale price of the car the monthlies will always be lower for a given deposit.
