Morning all,

I realise there are many threads about particular deals on particular cars, but I haven't been able to find a general 'how-to' on the places where deals for cash buys or PCPs are normally to be found.

Obviously there are the autoebid and coast2coast routes, and much discussion about Tony Lewis, but I'm thinking more about the options for window-shopping before you make enquiries, to try to size up where the scope for discounting is. Eastern and Peter Vardy are the obvious ones, but are there other dealers who routinely have a number of best-price (or best-price-ish) offers on their website?

Many thanks

TH

C2C, get a quote for the spec you want. Ring 2 or 3 dealers and ask them to beat it, so long as you are serious and willing to move forward quickly then you will get a good deal. You may need to take their finance to secure the best discounts but you can pay this straight off if you choose.

Are you talking brand new or very late used cars?

I was thinking new, but I imagine ideas on either would be appreciated by others.

I need a new BMW X model, would anyone have a contact email for the much discussed Tony Lewis. Google doesn't help.
Thanks

Coast2Coast does exactly what you're after, you can window shop on there to your heart's content with different specs etc and you'll get a price at the end without needing to actually submit an enquiry. I dont think you'll find any dealers advertising discounts as high as these though, they don't tend to want to tell everyone as they rely on the lesser discounted sales to make big profits!

The only thing C2C won't do is give you PCP prices but you're not going to get anything accurate on that front until you actually get a quote, although you can estimate it given the c2c cost and using one of the PCP calculators with an estimated GFV based on what you've seen people mention on the forums etc.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess the answer is a mix of C2C and the dealers I mentioned - with BMWFS rates across the whole 0-6% range, the APR is a major component of the cost of ownership for PCP punters, and is a good indication of where supply is.

Thanks again.

C2C were excellent. None of the too busy to call you back, vagueness about actual discounted price or confusion over interest % etc.
