OK I se your points so it's probably not a good idea to get a pop and bang map. I just thought it would be good fun for when I go down my local car meet and car shows.

The reason why I was saying 240 bhp is because ac shnitcher Schnitzer ( possibly the biggest bmw tuner. Maybe of exception of dinnan) they map this car to 245 and give you a compleat warranty to back any faults up. But it costs 2500 pound so I thought it would be a good idea to ask my local tuner to map my car to the same or close to the same specs as ac shnitchers map
When i hear people at car shows revving the *** out of their car or demonstrating anti-lag whilst stationary all I think is desperate attention seeker.

ACS only offer the warranty within the manufacturer's warranty period if I remember correctly.

Try Simon at e-maps.

Another vote for Simon at e-maps. He is very well known and trusted on Bim's.

+1; that kind of behaviour has utterly ruined the Bristol Queens Square meet, gets it tightly observed by Police, and killed the easygoing, informal Sunday morning 'quiet coffee meet for classics & and families' spirit completely.

...and have you asked those who will insure you whether they still will if you remap the engine?

So do you really think getting insurance on a "pop and bang" modified 2.0 will be easier than on a bigger engined Z4? Unless of course you don't plan to mention the "pop and bang" bit!

FFS please don't come within 100 miles of me, or anyone I know!

Well done.

Do you feel like a big boy now? You should.

Why is questioning his literacy, with reason, worse than implying that he's a desperate attention seeker? (Also with fair reason...)

English lessons and McDonald's car meets to one side.

The 20i is a good little motor to remap, head over to the Z4 owners forum for some real stories from people who have done just this. They respond well and there is a good selection of reputable tuners in the UK (someone posted a list above).

I did have to Youtube what a Pop and Bang map was though...great way to look like a bell.

Hmmm...... At 20 years of age, will the OP declare the modifications that he is going to do to his car to his insurance company? scratchchin

Let's be honest here, the OP is going to increase the engine power, fit the MOT - Fail de-cat exhaust to make it annoyingly loud, get the childish "Ooh Notice Me....Notice Me!" pop and bang re-map (despite what he's saying on here), and then drive everywhere like a complete tcensoredt - Constantly accelerating and then lifting off as fast as possible to make the car pop and bang, and he's not tell the insurance company anything about any of it!

Why? - Because if he can't get insured on anything bigger than a 2.0 Litre, then he knows that he's not going to get insured on a modded 2.0 Litre!

Oh well at the risk of repeating myself, OP please don't get within 100 miles of me!

Bit unnecessary wasn't it? We're all here for different reasons.
Bit ironic given you drop posters in to the Speeling thread on a regular basis!

At least he spelt warranty correctly.
