Hello

I'm new here so please tell me
If this is the wrong place to post.

I have recently had both air springs changed on my f11. After getting it back from the garage the ride height was ridiculously high. So I returned it to the garage and after a lot of playing about the ride height looked better, however the car now seems to be more like a go kart. I suspect the either the compressor or the solenoid valve are faulty or worse case both? Any advise?

It doesn't sound like the compressor or solenoid to me unless it's on the bump stops and refuses to climb off them when you start the engine. What it sounds like is either -
- one or both of the sensors which detect the ride height
- (on modern cars like your F11) the computer module which interprets what the sensors are saying about the ride height and instructs the solenoid to switch power to the compressor when needed, and switch off when teh correct ride height is achieved.

The compressor itself is a stone-simple device that either pumps or doesn't; the air springs themselves are stone-simple devices that either hold air or leak. The solenoid is just a power switching device for the compressor and again very simple in itself.

Since you ask, I dont think anyone will object to you posting this question here but a much more productive place for your purposes would be here

Hi

Thank you for replying. I will use the other forum page in future.

I have took the solenoid assembly apart and the drivers side outlet was stuck I have greased this and seems to be allowing air through now. This Is not a permanent fix i know. The ride sensors look ok on a visual inspection they are moving freely. And would I not get a error message of the control module was faulty. Im going to replace the solenoid as it is obviously faulty see if that works. I have thrown enough money at this system already I'm hoping this works.
