Any recommendations for fitter/supplier near Southampton, Winchester and surrounding area please? One who's careful not damaging alloys.

Preferably agent of Mytyres / Blackcircles etc.

Thanks.

I usually get an internet price , get a fitting price etc locally, add the lot up and Micheldever tyres if not cheaper will usually match it, sometimes they are cheaper and you can watch your tyres being fitted. I've never ever had any wheels damaged by them and have been buying from them since 1976

Take care buying internet tyres as some are a few years old and won't be as grippy as new rubber

I used TG Services in Hazel Road, Woolston last week, booked via blackcircles, all good.

I'd always go to Micheldever. Same price as black circles.

The only problem with Micheldever is that sometimes you get stuck in their queue system and you're there bloody ages! hours!

Try Tyreland on City Industrial estate, West Quay Road Southampton.

It was a family owned tyre co. Now part of the Micheldever group, but it has retained the family feel whilst benefiting from Micheldever prices.

I take the Skunk there. They take care of my ally's and allow me to borrow a trolley jack so that I can jack the car up, change the ride height and get the rear wheel off. They even let me do it indoors last time. smile

No connection other than a satisfied customer.

This is true, I've always gone first thing whenever I've been. If you don't have that luxury, Protyre in Southampton is equally as good an option - same group, as mentioned above. I just prefer the drive to Micheldever.
