My beko fan oven makes a clanging noise when the fan goes round. Ive taken the cover off and span it round and it's catching on the heating element. The element doesnt seem to be able to move to adjust it. Any tips?

I had this. Element had sagged. Fan was fine. Carefully bent the element back but it blew a month or so later i think.

Why do cooker manufacturers install the noisiest fan they can? especially the one to cool the controls after the oven is switched off. Is it to let you know it might still be hot?

put the cover back on, came to turn it on now the fan isnt spinning at all! The wife is not amused. Is there a safety switch or something that disables the fan when the cover is off?

I dont think there is, is it blocked? can you move it by hand?

Check that the cooker is level and adjust the feet if necessary. Flex in the chassis can cause the fan blades to rub.

I had this, new fan from ebay was about £26 and took less than an hour to fit.

Certainly preferable to a new oven, also worth considering changing the element as from memory they're so cheap you may as well change

i looked online and a warranty for a year is 70 quid but you cant claim for a month. Will just buy a new fan I think.
