325ti engine warning light
Discussion
Not sure if you have the same problem OP, but when my 325ti gave an amber EML it turned out to be one O2 sensor and an HVAC issue (Hydraulic Valve Actuator something or other)!
Had a full service done as it was nearly due one anyway and a new O2 sensor and 13,000 miles on it is still behaving.
I had a misfire but my BMW indy reckoned the valve lifter issue was the cause of that. I had just helped a friend move house, and had started the car to move it a few feet for the removal van, then done the same again a day later - my indy thought that may have highlighted the HVAC fault. It seems M54 engines don't like that treatment, especially as they get older!
Good luck.
