This has been a problem on every BMW I've had with navigation. Who has ever measured elevation/altitude in yards?
Must be golfers that designed the sat nav.

IIRC if you change the default units to metric then it does this. Your digital speedo will then be in km/h though.

I'm not sure it has the capability to have differential units between satnav and speedo.

It would be good if it did

It's a uniquely British problem, we have mixed use of metric and imperial. Every other country in the world uses one or the other.

Guess will just have to remember to multiply by 3 for foot or by 0.9 for meters.

Hey everybody! Thought Id join the thread after covertly perving on it for a while biglaugh

I've got a 23 M340i Touring LCI in Tanzanite blue, Tech+ Comfort+ and pano roof. Had it just short of a year now and still loving it, practical, quiet, comfy and refined for the commute, and better economy than expected, but equally happy to be absolutely savage and fun!

I am intrigued on one thing though, who have you guys found to be the most sensibly priced insurer? I'm currently being quoted around £1100 as a 30 year old with 12 years no claims and 0 points which seems a tad excessive to me...

I’m a bit older than you, but I’m with Admiral, so no one special! I’m paying about £650 but they tried to sting me for £800 last summer when I renewed. When I looked around at that time the quotes weren’t far off your figure, you’re not wrong, it seems daft.

Lovely colour by the way, big fan of Tanzanite!

We were with AXA last year for £490, renewal quote increased that by 130% yikes

Admiral were about £750 but we went with SAGA for slightly less (not an option for you though). Just out of interest I put the F-Pace we had before the M in and that was coming in at £1300. My Boxster S on the other hand is the cheapest of our fleet, including the Mii.

Cant really compare with you newer gen owners but i found my 2016 340 cheapest with Marshmallow insurance for £690 after Admiral wanted around £940!, a jump from £390 last year...... frown 33 with no claims and no change in circumstsance.....

My 2020 M340i Touring was £720 last May (Late 40's, Home Counties)

Current insurer declining to offer a renewal, and other quotes coming in around £1200-14000 however that will also be influenced by a £5k at fault claim during the year (minor car park prang that necessitated a new rear bumper) so it's not as bad as I feared tbh.

Just over 40 with 15 years no claims, in the midlands, £730.

I paid about £500 for my previous M340i saloon about 18 months ago.

£700+ feels like way too much for my age and risk profile, but not a lot I can do about it, and that was the best quote.
