those side repeaters with the roundel on are one of my least favourite bits of BMW design of recent years, glad they did't get rolled out en masse to other models. The skirts are nifty though!
Yer, I like them but think they probably wouldn't look that good on other models.its a 530i m sport in velvet blue,
my ideal combo would be champagne but this has the alcantara trim which is surprisingly nice!, dark ash inserts, individual dsp audio xenon's and a sunroof i think thats all the optionals it had oh and of course the 19' alpina's which were fitted from new the owner also tells me they were finished in the shadow chrome from new but i always thought alpinas only came in the silver?
its also got ac schnitzer mirrors and the roof spoiler (which I'm not to keen on) also apparently fitted from new, the guy had owned it since it was 2 years old,
He purchased it from the service manager at his local dealer, it looks fantastic, and the interior is like new its the cleanest e39 I've seen for a very long time the bonnet and bumper will be getting sprayed, as it has a few stone chips and the headlights wet sanded as soon as possible!
i cannot wait!
and best of all it was a bargain!

Finally had a chance to give the wagon a bit of a wash and brush up. Whilst I' know it's not concourse, it's in pretty reasonable nick.
I still need to do a few things, like get the wheels re-furbed and a new windscreen due to a biggish crack. At some point, I'll have to give it a really good polish. It needs it.

loving it pal!
a proper Bavarian bruiser... big petrol engine too - kudos for that
Thanks! There's still a bit to do, and the paint doesn't look as good as in the pictures close up, but it will. I just need more time. The black trim has gone a bit blue round the rear too, but I'll get it back to the correct colour soon. a proper Bavarian bruiser... big petrol engine too - kudos for that
