those side repeaters with the roundel on are one of my least favourite bits of BMW design of recent years, glad they did't get rolled out en masse to other models. The skirts are nifty though!
Yer, I like them but think they probably wouldn't look that good on other models.

its a 530i m sport in velvet blue,
my ideal combo would be champagne but this has the alcantara trim which is surprisingly nice!, dark ash inserts, individual dsp audio xenon's and a sunroof i think thats all the optionals it had oh and of course the 19' alpina's which were fitted from new the owner also tells me they were finished in the shadow chrome from new but i always thought alpinas only came in the silver?
its also got ac schnitzer mirrors and the roof spoiler (which I'm not to keen on) also apparently fitted from new, the guy had owned it since it was 2 years old,
He purchased it from the service manager at his local dealer, it looks fantastic, and the interior is like new its the cleanest e39 I've seen for a very long time the bonnet and bumper will be getting sprayed, as it has a few stone chips and the headlights wet sanded as soon as possible!
i cannot wait!
and best of all it was a bargain!

Finally had a chance to give the wagon a bit of a wash and brush up. Whilst I' know it's not concourse, it's in pretty reasonable nick.

I still need to do a few things, like get the wheels re-furbed and a new windscreen due to a biggish crack. At some point, I'll have to give it a really good polish. It needs it.

Looks really nice but the wheels don't look right to me, maybe its the colour, sport bumpers or are they fake/wrong size/offset compared to a B10 V8S?

That colour is lovely. Is it as deep as it looks in the pictures? You could almost swim in it!

Thanks! There's still a bit to do, and the paint doesn't look as good as in the pictures close up, but it will. I just need more time. The black trim has gone a bit blue round the rear too, but I'll get it back to the correct colour soon. smile

My E30 316:

It's done 38,000 miles in it's 29 year life, and i'm only the second owner! Currently trying to fix the broken automatic choke, looking into the popular weber carb conversion with a manual choke.

Your car appears to have pissed itself though wink

Love those wheels on the Z4!

Is the Z4 a buzz kill compared to the S2000?

Must confess it was a wrench to let the S2000 go, but we'd had it 4 years which is 3 years longer than we keep most cars so that probably says a lot. The Z4 is the 6 cylinder 3 litre twin turbo with DCT auto gearbox and it really moves with very little effort (Its a license loser).

Okey, thanks for the reply. I've already done the MX-5 thing and I would love an S2000 or a Mk2 Z4 some day. Interior and roof of the Z4 attracts, but so does purity of the S2000. Only 4/6 cylinder roadsters I really like - Boxster, SLK, TT etc. do nothing for me.
