I really can't get that excited over it.
TBH when you have the choice of cars you do to get in I can understand that but when you only have the 1 nice car you want it to look as nice as possible and its a fact the angel eyes now look better than they did when yellow.

Try : http://www.umnitza.com/angel-eyes-by-umnitza-bmw-c...

And a UK dealer, if you can't be bothered to sort shipping (I never can) : http://www.ca-int.co.uk/home.php

I hear your plight on this one, sometimes the devil's in the detail, and the little things matter smile

Excellent and rare beast! I love it.

Saw an E38 with manual gearbox today. Now that's something I would consider one day.

750i is the biggest (engine wise) model of the E38 range?

i stopped looking half way.. not because they aren't interesting, but because it depresses me that we don't have such a strongly knitted community of BMW enthusiasts here in the UK where you can find a 2002, a CS, a M3 GTS (lookalike), a tuned F11, a brand new F30 and a boggo standard E90 330i all in one place

Thanks. We never got a manual E38 here in the UK (I think?) not sure about on the continent.

Yes the 750i is the biggest engined variant of the E38. BMW did experiment with a 6.7 V16 in the E32 but sadly it never made it to production; http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/11/02/bmws-secret-7-se...

That's a real GTS smile

We got our quirks to work on in the BMWCCN, but the community beyond the club is fairly knitted together where most enthusiasts know each other through forums and events. It's a small country smile

What's cool is that the brand new F10M M5 (which costs 200.000+ £ here) pulled in later in the middle of the mix, and walked around checking out E30's and such. Love those kind of BMW guys!

The car I saw looked modified, so it's probably a gearbox modification.

Thanks for the info. If I even get an E38, 750i would be the one to get!

I've been trying to encourage a bit more enthusiasm in the UK e21 community. They have a terrific following in mainland Europe, but at UK shows the e21 seldom makes double figures. 02's have a pretty strong following but there is definitely more of a division between classic and modern cars.

I love the GTS in the pics. I'd love even an ordinary M3 in that colour. There's something about orange BM's. wink

With the exception of the ALPINA B12 6.0, yes.

We didn't get the 725tds though (Or the 730d).

It comes from a time when there was more to life than CO2 in the UK market hehe
