Really encouraging to see everyday wrecks to riches transformations - although you're 4 stars out of 5 due to that M badge... hope it doesn't leave a mark when you come to your senses and take it off!! It was going to be a part of a plan of mine that would mean it had an m50 manifold and 328 exhaust however i may consider removing it as it doesn't look as good as i thought

How come I can show a picture of my 120d sport in my profile but can't add it to the forum?

Put [img] [/img] with the Image URL in between.
You've actually put the photo where a photo of yourself is (sort of) supposed to go. You can put a photo of the car in the garage section.

M badges on non M cars just don't work. Great first car btw. Any plans for suspension and brakes? You can make e36 handle really nicely without breaking the bank.

I need to have the o/s welded under the front wing as when i removed the old dented front wing, someone had added an extra plate onto it from a mk3 transit to hide the hole which is a shame. What would be a good start to upgrade on the suspension?

What would be a good start to upgrade on the suspension? Being a 2 door it comes with slightly lower springs as standard but Bilstein or Koni shocks are a good choice. Don't be tempted by budget coilovers though, as you get what you pay for. M3 brakes and suspension can be sourced pretty cheaply and then you've got the added benefits of genuine BMW parts. Uprated pads from someone like Hawk will improve the brakes.

I was thinking of M3 suspension for it as it would be keeping it all BMW but just not sure how much is involved with swapping it over but hopefully just a simple switch. All this is being added to a list to do as i am getting all the niggles sorted like sorting out the n/s foglight not working before moving to the additions But yeah the M3 suspension should give it the better handling and lower it just a bit to give a better look.

Try fitting a set of Rota Grid 17'' alloys. They really suit an e36 and make a change from the more common rims like crosspokes etc.

Here's a quick peek at what i have been up to lately. The engine bay has cleaned up really great, used some fine sandpaper on the washer bottle to remove all the dirt and this is final result.

Very nice! lovely colour combo, hope you enjoy it loads +1 fantastic interior, nice light leather to keep things bright and fresh, no crappy grey plastic, faux wood or any of the other rather questionable e46 trim options.... which makes me think of how howlingly awful some of the 'Modern Line' options on the F30 will look by the time they start reaching this age.

My latest acquisition; had her about a fortnight now. Just taken her off stock 15"s and put her onto 17" Hartge Type A wheels that are in dire need of refurbishment - she could do with 20mm or so drop in the front but apart from that I will be mostly leaving her as she is, cosmetically at least. I've made her a thread here.
