Hey guys, pic of my new baby. Replacing my much loved E89 35i.
I'd get that hole in your bonnet fixed mate. I'm pretty certain it's not meant to be like that...

Very nice smile

Very nice, someone on here had a very similar one with an Eisenmann exhaust.

I suspect its the same car (mine has an Eisenmann exhaust) - I bought it from an active pistonheader last May.

Thanks for the comments.

It depends how you look at it. If you compare it to a 320d then its rubbish, but if you compare it to any other performance car then I think its ok. On the motorway I average about 30, which isn't that bad and around town and country roads where I live I get low 20's.

I reset my trip computer in November and was averaging about 27-28mpg until about a month ago. Since then I've done hardly any long jouneys and its now gone down to just short of 25mpg.... but it is a big 4.8l V8 petrol, not a 2.0 diesel!

Thats fine, I would be happy with that.

How much to fill the tank and how many miles you average?

That sounds appealing my old x5 with the same engine was doing 19/20 mpg overall & 12 mpg if you drove it with any vigour, it just shows how weight ruins economy.

I really love your motor it's a cracking allrounder & love that it's a manual, the auto in the x5 was a turd!

Major part of the appeal for me was that it's naturally aspirated. I'm getting similar empeegees to CH which I think is remarkable economy for 4.8 litres worth of V8. I've read 535Ds only return 35ish.
