That's not mine. Seriously. Actually my step-mother's plate, we are currently in the process of getting it off but DVLA shenanigans and christmas post have made it very slow.

There was three choice's of pad when I purchased the kit ,standard ,fast road ,race.I went for the fast road option and they seem to work great from the off not too hard compound,work well from cold and no squeal when hot!

Not mine but about time I put this up... Old Mans M6 - Sakhir orange, almost full spec (bang and olufsen stereo, full extended leather, keyless go, reverse camera, etc etc... Just no carbon brakes and not a CP car. Taken yesterday in the New Forest but it's not especially clean!

That is bloody lovely. Well done to your pa who clearly has great taste. smile

If I came across a nice low mile E39 M5 then yes and maybe an M3 E46 Coupe.... But I would have liked a Z4 MC but unfortunately they never did it in Dakar....?

Sadly, this old girl will be going next weekend in favour of an E36. I've had some thoroughly enjoyable moments with it.

Never knew they manufactured the E39 in Dakar. Everyday really is a school day.

Just had a quick search using my friend Google and it turns out there may be 3 examples in the UK!!!
Have a look at post 25 from this thread;
http://forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/38301-dakar-yellow-e...

Good luck my friend!

Funnily enough my neighbour had a new one around 99/2000 used to see it most days..! I've viewed one but it wasn't nice enough for the collection,I'd be surprised if there is only three but what will be will be is my attitude I didn't start out with a mission to buy these three it just sort of fell into place...

Bloody hell..if's that true I've seen them both.. I know my neighbours car was supplied new by Scothall BMW Leeds.. And I thought my 840 Sport "Dakar" Individual was rare with only 32 and only 42 Z3 M Coupe's,but I'm sure there's a good few M3 Evo Convertibles in Dakar.. scratchchin

I have loved the Dakar E31 since we had a Romantic Red one from new which stayed in the family up until recently.

Not sure what else you need in a collection... maybe a Dakar Yellow X5 for moving things biggrin

I'm pretty sure Dakar was never available on the X5...? I don't really know how BMW allocate the models that can have Dakar as an option...? You can imagine the look on the salesmans face when I ask if it was an available option when I was ordering the i8.....! biglaugh

No I very much doubt Dakar was ever on an X5! It'd look terrible!
