I have wondered about going the ESS centrifugal blower route with my 520i for more grunt... nice to see the M54 getting some love, not just the (admittedly epic) S54...

Does look and sound great, but I have to ask, why the 330 and not the M3? Seems like you spent a lot getting it to look like an M3 and could have supercharged an M3 too.

ive owned the car 8 years now and its been looked after perfectly and is in A+ condition, apart from the rear arches the bonnet and csl bootlid were put on before the major work was done, the cf roof would still not be on an m3 either, plus it was done to my spec slowly over 3 years instead of having to find a reliable m3 and pay it all in one go. So it made sense to me and i dont regret it.

thinking about it, an m3 in my cars condition and mileage is about £14,00k roof £2500, s/c £7500, BBK £2000 Recaros £3000, respray £3000, Leather retrim £2500, sell my car -£4000

so to get an m3 to my cars standard would cost £30,500 thats a lot more than i paid, so i reckon i did the right thing smile

My daily driver Z3 which over the three years I've owned it has given 63,000 miles faultless service. All it has needed was consumables. Lovely silky smooth six cylinder engine.

Well spotted!

Yes, it's a 1963 TR4 which I have owned since 1997.

I trust I'm allowed to post a gratuitous photo as BMW own the Triumph name...

My B7 & F10 550i have been joined on the driveway today by the good lady's new chariot, a 3.0 SDrive Z4 M-Sport (longest BMW model name ever surely).

This replaces the hateful Fiesta 1.4TDCI that I had to take in along with the new missus two years ago, despite her protestations towards another BMW she agreed it was the pick of the bunch post test drives - happy days!
