Pics of the 550i as it was when I picked it up in October:

Nice to see another petrol-powered SE-spec F10 about. My brother has an F10 528i SE (last of the NA 3.0 cars) and it really is all the car anyone could ever truly need, whilst also being pretty good on fuel.

Nice wheels, looks very American (i'm sure they had a similar, albeit smaller wheel on the V8 E39 over there)

From the front they look like genuine BBS. I know the copies are good so it's hard to be sure. When I get one off I'll check the central locating ring as all the after market BBS wheels I've had use a metal ring with BBS details stamped on it.

US spec lights and square reg plate... rare (US market only?) wheels on it too... PUT SOME PROPER UK PLATES ON IT!

To the bloke who had the 3.0 CSI, the 850CSI, the E39 B10 and the E63 M6 - how on earth could you bring yourself to sell those? If I had any of those, you'd have to prise the keys from my cold, dead hands!

They will be Euro ones off an ex-cop car I'd imagine - Euro cars had those lights, UK cars had the clear ones, but the police fleet E39's were all euro spec with the amber corners.

I bought this a year ago after it had been stood for four years. The roof didn't work, the rear wheel bearing was shot, the trailing arm bushes had come apart, the gear linkage would stick when hot (only the linkage though meaning the slider in the lower valve body was knackered), the rear seat was knackered, the paint was pink.......anyway. I still need to do some work to get it 100% but it's almost there. Spec is rare for such an early car. M52 single Vanos 2.5L, electric roof, aircon Analogue), electric sport seats, cruise control, eight speaker sound, Clifford alarm, drivers airbag, full tools, first aid kit, complete service history with invoices and stamps, 89000 miles.
