Thanks. It's not an Alpina. It started off as a 520 but was fitted with a 2.3 M20 which only lasted about a year. It's got it's original engine back in as was being used daily (until a few months ago) but I will be building a 2.3 Turbo in the summer to go in.

I need to sell my Escort first which will free up some garage space and also create funds for the FI conversion. This time I have a low (90k) mile engine so it should last considerably longer than the last one!

My 135i M sport, had it 18 months, probably wasted on me..but it scratched an itch. May go back to Lexus.

Lovely. I really miss my E39. My E60 was never quite up to the same standard and I have an F11 now but again although the F11 seems to have stepped its game up a little from the E60 the E39 is still the one I miss the most.
