Show Me Your BMW!!!!!!!!!
Discussion
That's my 'you-can-never-bring-yourself-to-sell-it-car', a 1982 635CSiA; probably the earliest rhd Series 2 car left being number 57 off the line and specified with Baltic Blue paintwork, sandbiege leather, genuine Recaro seats, a LSD (that still works and chirps the tyres), cruise control and a three speed automatic gearbox.......
When I bought the car some 18 years ago I swore to myself that when the gearbox gave up the ghost I would replace it with a manual gearbox or a four speed auto.... some 18 years and well over 100k miles later it still changes beautifully smoothly and provides indecent speed for the 1980's Shark-nosed coupe. A previous owner updated the car with the M635CSi front airdam and rear boot spoiler and I have added the subtle M635CSi body coloured wheel arch extensions and a very rare early MTec 1 steering wheel.
It's currently riding on E34 15"x7" cross spokes for supreme comfort but the above pic shows the long gone TRX metric rims. I put it up for sale last year but after lots of tlc I have fallen back in love with it and currently use it as a daily driver while resting the Alpina Fleet and the 635's bigger brother.

This is a bit of a tease...any better pics
Hahaha! well if memory serves you have/had a 640...not sure it was LCI?Spec
M Sport 640 GC, Alpine White, Black Dakota (I would like better leather, but as this is our practical everyday car then some of them are a lot of upkeep), M Sport Pack (including 20's, HUD and something else?), Sunroof, Privacy Glass, Speed Limit Display, High Beam Assist for the LED lights (being an LCI car the LED lights are standard).
Anyway some pics....

And I can see something else just poking its nose out of the garage ?
My minty fresh garage queen, an alpineweiss M635CSi with taurusrot sports leather; 1985 vintage so chrome bumpers and now always garaged after an extensive restoration a couple of years ago. Miss E24man likes it so much I've promised it to her when she turns 25..... 17 years from now.

First post from me so I thought I'd add on my remapped 08 635d. Must be around 350bhp. 55,000. Standard everything else and had it for 3 years

I really do have a soft spot for these! So much so that the £30k budget I'd set for a 640d in a few months may be just forgotten. 350bhp means it must go some.
It does go! I worked for BMW and had numerous 530d's as company cars but this remapped is just amazing. 50-70 mph is just effortless. Being remapped if I take it steady on the motorway I can get late 40's mpg also. The 640d with the 8 speed ZF is next on my list also!

I will admit I love the ZF box coming from a die hard manual type that hurts. Other factor is it definitely provides more character to the 640D when needed. The 640d with the 8 speed ZF is next on my list also!
Neil, looks great, how are you getting on with it? I'm currently driving an A5 convertible which was palmed off to me from the Mrs (long story) but its gotta go and one of these is on my shortlist, would be good to hear any thoughts on day-to-day use and essential options to look out for etc. Cheers, Tony.

I am now back upto 2 x BMW. (sorry about the poor pics)
First is an 530d Tourer. This is an ex BMW management car and a great spec and very well looked after. Bought from its second owner, I am very pleased with it...
Second is one purchased a few weeks back. I was on a road trip sat in Lake Garda on eBay and spotted this on the south coast of England. The logical thing to do on the way back from a road trip is to buy an old BMW. This is also an ex BMW management car, then owned locally. Its very original and solid and I intend to improve and keep it that way. It is a 328i.
