Thanks for the warm reception.
I guess I may have pressed one too many post processing buttons
...it is probably looking a shade darker than it is....though I would suggest your pic is looking a shade lighter...so somewhere in between the two!
Here is another pic looking lighter...

Wow that looks fantastic!
The colour looks too dark for Imola, but maybe you could put us right?
My Imola 325ti is this colour:-
I wondered about an E46 M3, but didn't have enough brave pills so I bought a Z4C instead!
Enjoy your M3!
That just looks Red to me, every Imola I have seen is more like the M3 above The colour looks too dark for Imola, but maybe you could put us right?

Thanks. Of course, I am biased, but I do think the E46 is taking the mantle of what is envisioned when you think Em-Three. Not taking anything away from the original E30 road racer which has its own unique iconic place but for most people has become a collectors car more than a car to be used in anger on road and track....Agree the newer cars aren't doing it yet for me...but that can change over time. I think the latest M4 can look mean...but heavy as well!

When the time comes to sell the e30 this is exactly what I have in mind.
Last weekend the Imola Red was in close proximity to a red E30 Evo Sport...the different shades of red were clashing a bit...to my biased eyes I did prefer the darker shade of red ATM said:
about this, how much is ball park for a full repaint ? Note: I would not even bid half of the Asked price.

I thought the M3 was Imola, no photo tricks, cos it made me think of my E46; unedited pic from last week
That Coupe looks fairly close to my 325ti in colour - but Imola Red certainly seems to be a bit variable!Still I like all of the variations!
At least they are a colour, unlike most of their contemporaries!
I just hope my Z4C is accepted as being Montego Blue!

Current car 120d coupe (bought in February) but I should have gone auto for my commute.
