I had one of these, cracking cars and their value is probably at the lowest now. Around 1100 built for the UK so quite rare on the roads and they will surely only rise in value.
What engine do you think would rise the most? the 3ltr straight six?

This is the only engine available in the non Z4M Coupe anyway in the UK.

These are basically an E46 underneath, right? So all similar suspension and floor pan. In the same was as the Z3 was an E36 and the newer Z4 is an E90.

Looks like the perfect excuse to pop in a photo of my Z4C (non M) after a wash today, before it gets dirty again!

I love that car! cloud9

Not the picture you want to be posting really. 2004 645 at 78,000 miles with a suspected starter motor failure frown

I know, and getting comments like this was part of the reason for posting the pic. I'm putting in to my local garage to "fault find & fix", not "replace starter motor"

Just to update: It's not starter motor, fortunately, as that's a 5 hour job involving removing the exhaust manifold, but it is the earth / ground cable off the starter motor which is (a) still a "bit of a pig of a job" and (b) on back order from Germany - as it's Christmas a new one won't get on the car sooner than an ebay 2nd hand part so I'll just have to keep turning the heater up in my E36 328 Cab. At least I'm getting better mpg in that than I was in the E63...

This needs to be gone from your thoughts or you will end up buying a 4 pot diesel.

I have seen my fair share of broken ground/earth cables this year but mostly VAG stuff no biggy on them wink so long as your BMW block is grounded with a suitable enough sized cable you will be good to go and a big bill should not ensue for this minor repair
