Morning all -

I replaced the brake pads on the front of my 528 last night (including the low pad warning cable), and the warning light is still on in the dash desplay. Does it need a master reset, battery off or some such similar?

Or am I just a biff?

Many thanks!

It can take 1 miles for this to reset or 100 miles for it to go off,

What you might have found though is that you've broken the sensor. This is quite common as it wear the sensor when your brake pad is on the limit.

There only £6/£10 so its no biggy to get a replacement, Everytime i change my pads in my e46 change these sensors.

Bottom line is that there is no need to reset anything the ECU picks this up from the sensors.

Hope that helps!

I'll have another look - I replaced the sensor when I replaced the pads, but the light is still on. Might need to give the cable a wiggle...

Thanks to all for your help - light went off, quite randomly, the other day!
