There is no SMG for the new M3, they are going to be using the new dual clutch transmission (DCT), believe they are already out now, or pipeline.

DCT's are out and have been for a few months (they're on the used market too now). Not driven one yet, but supposed to be a step up from the SMG.

That makes sense....the paddle shift only seems to be on convertible or 4 door cars for now...?
