What is it with so many 335d drivers and the illusion that it's the fastest thing on 4 wheels? Having had a run in with one such idiot last night I feel a rant coming on.

Don't get me wrong, I have an E91 335d and it's a fantastic car and there's nothing I'd rather have for family runabout duties.

But my E92 M3 is in a different league. However, just about every 335d driver I come across when in the M3 needs to prove something and 'have a go'. Like the moron on the A120 last night who nearly had a head on collision trying to overtake me in a queue of traffic on a blind bend.

Please just enjoy the 335d for what it is and stop ruining the image of the car by making out it's faster than everything out of Maranello and driving like tossers.

Rant over. Deep breath. Calming down now.

Is it something like the only opportunity pikies get to flex their right foot without any danger of spending real money on fuel? Is that was drives this? Have to admit I don't quite get it. I don't see petrol folks going around boasting. When was the last time you heard a 330i driver who couldn't wait to trash an R8 v12 diesel?

It's not just the 335d drivers you know.

Since I acquired my new car 3/4 weeks ago (130i) I have encountered bellends on three seperate occasions displaying frankly abysmal driving and apparent desparation to get past me at all costs.

On each occasion the car in question was a 123d. I know this because if someone is putting themselves/me/others at risk I let them past and I've clocked the badges.

I'm too old to willy-wave on a busy road and I'm secure enough in my self-esteem and choice of car thanks.

Funny, i've got a 130 too and my most recent altercation was with a bellend in an 08 plate Alfa Brera on the M4 just before 7am this morning.
He was weaving across all three lanes when he was't sitting six inches from my back bumper, all the way from junction 10 to junction 3. I sat behind the same line of cars for that same distance.

I reckon it's those 4 digits on the back of the car that set these muppets off. I'll probably debadge mine.

Nice looking car anyways - have you got those darkline rear lights? I'm tempted to get those cos I think they'll compliment the sun protection glass I've got.

I've had a look around babybmw a couple of times but I've not registered, I'll probably have a good explore when I get the time - thanks.
