I'm sensing a lot of sexual tension on this thread!

Does anyone have an opinion on the BM 2.0 diesel? Not as a road warrior but as a reasonable to drive, quiet, economical car for everyday general use. Everyone (alright most people) says to 6-pots are great engines but I've not heared a lot of opinion on the 4-pots.
Its a great engine. Better suited to the three than the five, and much better than the asthmatic 320i. Sounds a little unrefined compared to the six, but a class leader in most respects.
Thanks for that. The CO2 emmissions (128 g/km?) and mpg of the latest car look very good. I know most will think I'm sad for worrying about such things but I'd quite like to get something much more environmentally (and wallet) friendly than our petrol X3.
Funny when i traded in my 320d recently it was snapped up by a 2.5i x3 driver..

the 320d / 520d are good cars. Excellent in fact.

Where did dxb335d (or whoever he was) go to? I was enjoying his constant flow of utter nonsense, 'I'm more of a petrolhead', 'I'm a driver's driver', 'ask the M3 drivers I've overtaken on track'. We're only one step away from 'my dad's bigger than your dad'

knob.

To be fair I'd be so chuffed if my Dad gave me a £35k car (OH wait sorry no he 'sold' it to him, obviously at market value, chuckle) that i'd probably be unable to shut up about it either.

Heck I'm almost as bad with my 530 and I had to pay for it myself laugh

Who cares about how it was bought? He has a great car - I'd love one, good for him that he has it. One day I'll have one.

Everybody has different levels of acceptable car budget - for me ... £35k is too much (I could afford it but thats irrelevant I'd refuse to spend that much on any car).

Isn't that kind of what agreeing to disagree is all about???

Agreeing that you STILL DISAGREE?

Yes you can - the whole point in agreeing to disagree is that you realise the arguement has reached an impasse and won't get any further.

Why why why do you keep bringing up that he *may* have been given it / got it at a good price from his dad? Why the fk is that even slightly relevant?????

No, i'm not dragging the arguement out, merely pointing out that you're now arguing the semantics of what it means to 'agree to disagree' and have lost any credibility you had by now arguing about drawing a line on the arguement.

Ironically, the O/P took his ball back in a huff after first few posts, so theoretically there is no topic any more....

LOL. So we should get back to the previous arguement as opposed to arguing about how we would end the arguement?
