Sorry to hear that. Are E46s now in the price bracket where chavs can afford to buy them, but not maintain them?

That was the possible reasoning I was given when the kit and, of all things, the wing-mirror glass was stolen from my E36 a few years back.

Couple of years ago I went out to replace a broken window on a Peugeot 406 coupe... they stole the bonnet.

Was RV mirror auto-dim, or, if it is an M3, some of the mirrors are oval?

Hi, yes, it was an auto-dim one - all the gubbins. Been on phone to BMW and something like £450!!!

It must have been stolen to order. Someone who knows what they are doing...
That's three of our cars targeted six times in past few months. It's also London [sigh]........

Stolen bonnet!? Blimey.

A few on ebay / specialist breakers. If the windscreen has a moisture sensor, the mirror will be different to one without; there is also a two-piece cowl that fits around the assembly.

These are on ebay from time to time and I remember seeing then reach £200 and more. Might be worth keeping an eye on ebay as it may turn-up in the not too distant future. The oval shaped M3 mirror is much more chic than the rectangular critters fitted to the rest of the E46 range.
