I have a standard 328i Cabrio E36,late 1996 Model with a lowered suspension plus M-tech styling kit.
I'm looking out urgently for some info about wheel compatibility. I had a very special set of Alloys stolen off my car in Marbella a couple of nights ago and I'm looking around for another set with tyres, low profile ones if possible?
I've been advised that a set from an E 36 M-tech may not fit that's got me wondering what wheels may fit the car?

Any advice or places to try and locate a good set would be appreciated!

I live in Marbella but will be in the UK visiting Manchester/Nottingham/Cambridge for a couple of weeks from this Thursday late pm.

I have a couple of pics on the classified section - Wanted BMW Alloy Wheels. I also need a new rear plastic screen, zip in type for an E 36 model that was cut out to access the car!!

I've seen plenty of non-M cars with M wheels so I think they should fit, I know you can't put smaller wheels on a M3 beacuse the front calipers are too big.

Bad luck with the theft, was that with the standard BMW anti-theft bolts?

You can fit any standard E36 alloys, including those from an M3.

Thanks a lot for the advice about the compatibility issue, I thought most M series wheels would fit!

My wheels where a special Motor Sport Alloy that originally cost around 2k a set!! I've put a pic of my car in the classified section "Wanted Alloy Wheels" I think I was probably followed home by a local Marbella gang who've been targeting cars with decent alloys. They took off all four wheels and left the car sitting on the garage floor! Lockable wheel nuts don't put these guys off I'm afraid?

I've found an ebay seller advertising some decent alloys

FULL SET OF BMW 17" ALLOY WHEELS AND TYRES FROM A 2003 E46 318CI CONVERTIBLE ( I BELIEVE THEY WILL FIT E36 AS WELL BUT BEST TO CHECK FIRST). THE WHEELS ARE IN SUPERB CONDITION WITH NO SCRATCHES OR KERB MARKS AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES WHICH SHOW EACH WHEEL INDIVIDUALLY, NOT JUST ONE PHOTO OF THE "BEST ONE"!!!

THE TYRES ARE DUNLOP SP SPORT 9000'S, 225/45ZR/17

can anyone confirm that these wheels would fit my E36 328i please?

Should be fine - I don't think you'll have any problems with the offset of those.
