I'm interested in guidance for improving the performance out of the BMW 4.8 engine as fitted in my Morgan Aero. I appreciate that the set up is likely to be a bit different to that as fitted in a BMW but as a totally non-technical person would like to know about the merits of re-mapping etc.

Thanks in advance!

How much performance do you want?

A little = induction/exhaust/rolling road remap
A lot = supercharger
Unreal = engine rebuild with rods/pistons and twin turbos

Naturally the price escalates in that order too...

Unfortunately, there is no room for a supercharger or a turbo so really looking at the remapping as a starting point.

Ah, looks like the traditional tuning route is for you. You might also want to consider a throttle body like this:

CA Automotive also have a lot of bolt on bits and I hear they have a good reputation.

Depending on your budget/desire to spend cash, you might want to consider a sprint booster. This makes the throttle more sensitive which makes the car 'feel' faster. (I.e. it makes the car think you've pressed the accelerator harder than you have!)
