530i auto/timmed start

One of the lads at work has a 530 which he has "borrowed" off his father in law.
He reckons that his father in Law has tld him, after complaining the leather was cold on a morning (must be hard, free car AND cold leather) that there is a function that can be set so the car will start it up and turn the heater on before you get in!

Is this true?

I think there was a fast warm option which used a sort of thermos thingy to store heat from the previous use which provides near instant heat the next morning. No idea how it works though. Do you have the handbook? It not, you can download it from e60.net.
