Space Grey

Hi Guys

I have a 123d M Sport in Space Grey on order.

I am aware that this colour has recently been introduced on the 1er. I was speaking to a friend today who is looking for a used e92 and has seen a Space Grey M3. The salesman has informed him that the colour was only out for a couple of months on the M3.

Does anyone have any info on when Space Grey was introduced and what cars it is available on?

I am a bit of a saddo about car colours but can't find much info about Space Grey.

It's just a shame I couldn't order an Individual one in Dakar Yellow!

it's a great colour on the E92, better than on the other models IMO

Space Grey was introduced on the E60 5-series with the LCI facelift, so 2007. Not sure if it might have been earlier on other models.

Yup. It was introduced on the e60 from the build date of 24th March 07 onwards (ie, on LCI cars) and replaced Silver Grey.

Why cant you? Is that not the point of individual colours - that you can chose what you want. I'm 99% certain i've seen a Dakar yellow e92 m3

I have mine, a 2007 car, also in space grey. This was the colour all X5's were shown in the launch brochures. Its OK but a bit flat and I much prefer the Montego blue I have for my 330, a much "deeper" colour. (Not a great picture sorry)
