The DXB does have quite a few friends, and yes they do drive similar cars, he also arranged the last meet where there were plenty of 335d/i's and M3s... planned the course around his area and took them all to the pod... Not the first time either... so I can kinda vouch for him when he says he knows the differences between the speeds of the various models.

GLOL.

How can a 310hp mapped 335d be as fast as a 400hp mapped 335i? The word is 'delusional'. Or is it 'sherminator'?

Ah mate that is so hilarious. Me and two mates with 400bhp 335i all posted the same times last time we went to the pod.
How come all your mates drive the same car as you? All mine drive junk.
Most likely a type of guy that makes up friends etc to back up his statements.

I would like to see it. HP is a better measure of performance than torque as it takes into account the rpm. After all a modern f1 engine only produces something like 250lbs/ft but because it does it at 19,000rpm, that makes 900ish bhp.

Is the max speed in gear similar for both cars? If the petrol were more lazy (higher speed in gear) that might explain some difference.
