Indie in NW London - Technosport

Hi everyone - My BMW 5 series is due for a service very shortly. I would like to avoid my local BMW dealer in NW London and have heard good things about an indie (Technosport at Staples corner). Has anyone good or not so good feedback from these guys ? Many thanks.

Yea, was about 4 years ago.

They actually managed to fix my M3 E36 SMG but did get a bill for £2.6k though but still think they were good though.

What ever you do dont go to NAS BMW he was based in west london (earls court i think), terrible.

hmmm, well i did go there 4 years ago.

I do remember him being okay but i put that down to my E36 SMG being a ass to work on. Maybe different guy there now.

Wasnt happy with my 2.6k bill though although just happy to drive my car back.

It's funny thing about BMW dealers that there are distinctly better & worse ones for quality of service. I found Stephen James in Enfield to be horrendous. Hexagon in Kentish Town is better.

I have also gone independent on occasion (not for main services, just other stuff). Technosport certainly know how to charge. I found them very friendly and knowledgeable but I don't think I saved any money vs BMW because what they save in labour cost per hour they make up by charging more hours.

No experience with Technosport but if anyone is looking NW London, Birds a bit further out in Uxbridge are excellent. Very professional.

Also very good is Ridge Garage in Hampstead, Proprietor Steve knows his stuff on BMWs, not so sure about M's though. For that, I'd recommend PMW in Chelmsford, very knowledgable, you can easily get a train back into central London in 30 mins
