I would disagree in so much as I think the guy deserves a slap... But at the end of the day the cyclist was fine, and if the victim isn't interested in pursuing trial by internet, then I think you both are right.

I've always suspected old bikes are a pussy magnet.

My bike only seems to attract piles.

Easy over the bumpy bits...

Sad that both owner and cat were killed in car crash.

It must have been quite a confusing scene for the investigators.

Could have been a nasty off, he will have clenched his arse hard enough to generate nuclear fission on that one I bet.

No Gloves! I can only assume he is wearing some sneakers, a pair of long shorts and a vest. Why of why?

Yep. He did the "I've just done something stupid, so I'll try to distract people by accelerating in a manly way" move...

I'm watching without sound, but what was he doing, just braking with the rear or what? Camera angle can be deceiving, but it looked like he had plenty of time to stop.

  • On top of being an idiot in the first place.

I'll make a contribution while I'm here.

This happened this past Saturday at a trackday I was at, different group than me though. There was an accident on another part of the track, and they waved the red flags at the exit of the Carousel (long turn the crash happened in). Apparently the rider rolled off hard on the race line/might have went for the pit.

The rider with the camera sustained a concussion and bruising. The Control Rider had five broken ribs, punctured lung.

Yeah by the looks of things he doesn't use the front at all. The rear locks almost instantly and the back of the bike starts skipping around and rather than release the locked wheel and try the front brake he just holds on rides it out. The save at the end was lucky and impressive, he was either going into the back of that pickup truck, the traffic light pole or possible getting taken out by traffic crossing the road ahead.

Crashday track above, fking hell. Must be a moment of terror seeing a bike bouncing down the track towards you.

What went wrong there? Did he try to trim his line with the back brake and lost it?

Also, how on earth does RNickymouse manage to film so many crashes? He is like a crash magnet.

Good point. Why do so many people low side on that road, doesn't even look tricky.

That turn is crash magnet. Having never been there I can't be certain why. Think its a combination of it being quite long with a tightening radius and dusty off line. Looks like it has a nice camber (if you stay in it!) too. Bit of 'watch this' factor too I reckon.
