The guy on the blue ZX10 you went up the inside of before departing the track is my mate.

First time on that bike, and it handled that badly when he got back from Spain he took the K Tech suspension and replaced with Ohlins.

I did wonder why he was so slow!

Interesting. Not a lot of 'leaning off', more like 'leaning on'.

I was a lot quicker before I broke my hip, I was even faster before I had my Right leg amputated and I was really fast when I was young.

We can all do the "I was faster when" game.

Some hairy moments there. I remember a video of Sebastien Loeb talking about the unique challenge of Pikes Peak, above the altitude where trees no longer grow, in that you can't follow the tree line at the edge of the road in order to read where the road is going. It's disconcerting to watch, heading towards a blind crest at 100mph, with little clue as to whats on the other side.

I've got massive respect for anyone that competes at Pikes Peak, especially on a bike.

It was all down to the bike. It didn't handle. My other mate Jamie who was probably one of the fastest riders there took it out and said it was shocking.

You only need to look at his laptimes from Cadwell a few months earlier to prove that.

George, having met you a couple of times I can say that you seem like a fine young man with the biking world at your feet.

I on the other am a cynical old fker and don't give a flying fk about racers opinions or lap times.

And to think it's relatively sane now that it's all tarmac. Heading into a number of those bends with no armco, on loose dirt, on a bike is just a bit mental.

The message here seems to be that if you get chased by a Japanese police bike, just go round a corner and you'll get away as they'll simply fall off..... spin
